Frequently Asked Questions
1. Where are you located?
Bristol is centrally located within
Connecticut off Interstate-84 approximately halfway between Hartford and
Danbury.
2. When can we expect delivery on an order?
Once our office in Bristol
has received the Purchase Order AND the cutting list, most orders are
processed in four weeks, IF you chose a Standard Panel in a standard
gauge along with a Stock Color. Other combinations of panel and color
selection may take longer. Please consult our Sales Network
for further details.
3. Can you provide custom colors?
We will gladly provide a custom
color. Please keep in mind that when working with custom colors this
will mean an extended lead time and additional cost, with the same issues
on any future project additions.
4. What materials do you fabricate the panels from?
Steel (galvanized
and galvalume), aluminum, copper and stainless steel.
5. Do you have an Architectural Detail Binder?
Yes! Please fill out
our Inquiry Form and we will process your request immediately!
6. What is MORIN's position on oil-canning?
Please be assured that we at
MORIN take every precaution during the selection of material and
production of the metal panels to effectively minimize the effects of
oil-canning. Other contributing factors to "oil-canning" can be improper
installation and misalignment of structural steel, even within the AISC
and MCA standards. Uneveness from these conditions is not sufficient
cause for automatic rejection of the material. Please refer to OIL
CANNING in our catalog.
7. What about maintenance?
Very little! If you like, a Morin
Maintenance Manual is available for our wall and roof panel systems and
is required with the warranty. Consult with any of our managers at the
Sales Network to get your copy.
8. What are the benefits of a standing seam roof (SSR)?
Durability,
weathertightness, lightweight and cost. Studies done on the life-cycle
cost of SSR prove it to be the most cost-effective roofing system.
